Mastitis, Breast Inflammation (Blocked Ducts) or Breast Pain

Why this happens

Breast pain, breast inflammation (blocked ducts), and mastitis often occur when milk isn’t being removed effectively from the breasts — from skipped feeds, a poor latch, tight clothing, or stress. Inflammation can build quickly, and if not managed, it can progress to infection or more serious complications.

Why it’s a problem

Painful breasts are a sign that something isn’t working right and needs attention. Breastfeeding with pain is exhausting — physically and mentally. You may feel feverish, drained, or anxious about what to do next. Without the right care, pain can worsen, feeding might feel unbearable, and supply may drop as a result.

How I can help you overcome it

I offer immediate, practical help for managing breast inflammation and pain. If we get onto this quickly, we can often bring things under control and avoid needing any medical treatment - but we have to act fast. I’ll assess what’s going on, guide you through gentle techniques to reduce the inflammation (blockages), and help you protect your supply. If medical treatment is needed, I’ll support you in navigating that too. My goal is to reduce pain quickly and keep you well.

What I offer

• Immediate strategies for breast inflammation (blocked ducts) or mastitis
• Gentle milk removal techniques
• Prevention of recurring inflammation
• Support to continue feeding safely
• Coordination with your healthcare provider as needed

You don’t have to figure this out alone.
