Why this happens
Each baby grows at their own pace, but it’s natural to worry if your little one isn’t gaining weight as expected. Growth concerns can be due to lots of different issues — inefficient feeding, latch issues, low milk supply, frequent spitting-up (reflux), or even undiagnosed medical conditions. Sometimes, everything feels fine… until the scales suggest otherwise.
Why it’s a problem
Hearing that your baby isn’t gaining “enough” can trigger self-doubt, guilt and anxiety. You might feel pressure to supplement, start pumping/expressing your milk, or abandon your feeding goals — all without really understanding why the numbers are what they are. It can feel confusing and disheartening.
How I can help you overcome it
Together, we’ll look at more than just the numbers. I’ll assess a full feed, talk through your baby’s feeding patterns, and explore what might be affecting growth. I’ll help you understand the numbers, make a plan that aligns with your goals, and — most importantly — offer compassionate support so you feel informed and confident. There are always ways forward, and I’ll walk with you to find them.
